Helmet off for fevers, right?

My 11 month old is running a fever; older brother has had one for 5 days and we're going to the doctor tomorrow--

Anyway, he's sleeping without the helmet tonight; isn't that the protocol? (I hope he doesn't learn to like it too much; we've come too far to not put it back on when the fever's gone!!)

Any more insight on fevers and helmets?

thx

Yes. We were instructed to leave the band off with any fever. I hope everyone is feeling better real soon.

Hi Betsy:

I haven't yet participated in discussions, but wanted to chime in here. My 13 mo old daughter had a super high fever last week (103.5) (turned out to be roseola). I think you have to take it off - my ped advised that we do; and I wouldn't want to sleep in it with a fever! We took the band off at night (2 nights in a row) and she went right back to wearing it without complaint. GLTY!

Thanks ladies--helmet off. He looks so darn cute; I've missed this head! but we

will put it back on.

He's got a virus his 5 year old brother has; no flu, nothing bacterial, just a

yucky bug to wait out-----
