Guest guest
Hello Judy, I don't know if you will have another acute attack; I hope not. I think it can happen that we have symptoms which seem usually to lead to a particular outcome but on occasions the final outcome is different. I hope that's the case with you this time. Sometimes I find that a bout of diarrhoea is a sign that a flare-up is coming. I have had that nagging pain you're talking about but sometimes it goes away on its own. I think it's a bit difficult to compare symptoms as we all tend to be different. I do know others who have learnt to read their symptoms over the years to know what is likely to happen. However, if you THINK you may be going to have an acute attack, you could do what Chrissy suggests and try to avoid it through diet etc. I just wanted to say I share your disappointment. I too had been doing really well and was hoping my pain days were past. Then WHAM! Last Monday was a horrible flare-up. I was lucky in that I didn't need to be hospitalised but it was a shock to the system and a psychological setback as well as a physical upset. Try to avoid the attack but at least know that others have gone through that " let down " feeling and we do sympathise. Here's hoping there's no acute attack this time. With good wishes, Fliss (UK)
