Guest guest
If the supermarket honey does not say that it is " RAW " , then it's been pasteurized. If it's clear, then it's been filtered. Clover or orange blossom just means that's the type of flowers those particular bees had access to.... and the honeys can have different flavors depending on what flowers they visited. I just buy my local supermarket's store brand of clover or orange blossom... or alfalfa honey. Just make sure it's not raw, and that it's clear....AND you want the label to say 100% pure honey. Any brand is fine. Patti Honey question Hi all, I'm looking for a brand of pure honey that is filtered and pasteurized (like BTVC says to use). I checked with a local beekeeper but they don't filter all of the pollen out, nor do they pasteurize it. I am very allergic to pollen, so I figure it would irritate my digestive symptoms. The supermarket brands I have seen all say either " clover honey " or " orange blossom honey " (I'm not sure what those labels mean) - and none say that they are pasteurized. The only two supermarkets close to me are Acme and Whole Foods. Any brands I should look for there? Thanks! Lora SCD - still trying to begin after many weeks of gathering info
