Hi all,

Since my last acute attack over 2 weeks ago I have been doing OK with little or

even no pain which is a relief. However I have been signed off work by my

doctor.

Previous attacks have come on during periods of high stress from my work, and I

would just like to collect your views on how much stress can play a part with

Pancreatitis pain. It is just that my brain tells me that I may be OK to test

returning to work soon, but I am scared that going back into a stressful

situation will make matters flare up again. My doctor has referred me for

further tests (MRI and consultation with a vascular specialist) and as I am

seeing my GP Monday I want to get my story straight regarding going back to work

at this time. Everyone is telling me to stay off work until I can get a definite

prognosis of the extent of my Pancreas situation but I know from posts that that

can take a long time and is not an exact science, however I do feel that my

employer is watching my situation very closely and I do not want to harm my work

situation by taking more time off.

Hope you can respond with your thoughts on Pancreatitis pain induced by stress.
