Poor Girl how did you survive with out a phone ?? LOL Glad you got it back now. I know what you mean about the water we also have well water here. Some times we loose power for 4 to 6 hours out here. Sounds like the dentist has your best interest in mind that is for sure. Hope you get to feeling better soon. This isn't the same Dentist that gave you the bad time is it? Hope you get the alls clear so you can have the knee surgery when you are scheduled for it. Sending good thoughts and prayers. Yes, we all need to worry before hand.. didn't you know this helps in your healing process??? LOL I know you will feel so much better after the surgery, when that pain is gone. Guest guest Posted November 14, 2002 Report Share Posted November 14, 2002 Thanks...I do have what they call a " grabber " , however it's fine for pulling up panties and pants...as for the socks...well it doesn't work that great. My husband doesn't mind helping me with the one sock and shoe so that is working. I do still get very tied which I'm sure is expected after such a major surgery. Funny how the body reacts, but I'm doing everything the doctor has told me I " can and cannot " do so will not push it. So very nice that " you " and of course our dear think so much to respond they way you have when I do post. hugs Sharyn > Glad to hear you're doing so well after your hip surgery. Just a couple of suggestions. One of my friends had hip surgery & they gave her a thing to pull on your socks so you don't have to bend. It really works. It is plastic & fits the back of your leg. You put your socks on it, slip your foot into it & then pull the strings on the sides & on goes your sock. They also gave her elastic shoe laces & an apparatus to tie them. She got them from the gal in physical therapy.
