I used scrapbooking stickers from the hobby store (plasticy ones, not papery ones) and decoupaged them with Modge Podge. They stay on for a month or two.

The cutest thing has been to put his name across the front--that really makes people loosen up about the helmet. Other than that, we haven't done a "theme"; I just let the older brothers pick what they liked--we had race cars, construction vehicles, zoo animals right now.

I recommend scrap booking stickers. You

can find them very easily from Target, s, Walmart and that is an in

expensive approach. My son is sporting a Halloween theme J The good thing with

stickers is that you can change them out as often as you like. I recommend the

clear type, and a coat of clear nail polish over them adds and extra protective

coating.
