Guest guest
Sharyn, I agree with you....I realize that many of us might have some kind of genetic presdisposition towards certail illnesses. However, there has to be some kind of outside factor to trigger it.. .....I was working in a hospital for 6 years when my ears first started to swell. I was exposed daily to various chemicals such as disinfectants. A fellow RPer, Carolyn, also worked for many years in a hospital as well. There is one study where RP ear inflammation symptoms were induced in rabbits by exposing them to carborator fluid and formaldehyde, suggesting that perhaps environmental factors are involved. I am hopeful that more research in this area will someday expose the cause.....take care, and aloha, karen Message: 12 Date: Sat, 18 May 2002 22:47:30 -0400 Subject: Re: Re: Conie we need to talk now! Someone from my other support group brought this up and I will try and see if I can get more information regarding this. You know me..I still think RP has something to do with chemical toxins that we have been exposed to and this may be a key. Just sent you email.
