Guest guest
Wasn't it determined that the Yogourmet yogurt maker reached pretty high temperatures? I'm just asking because that is the yogurt maker I use and I use goat's milk. My yogurt came out really well and I had not problems with it - other than the normal complaints about goat's yogurt being thinner/runnier than cow's yogurt. I have only made one batch and didn't think to check the temp while it was cooking. I guess I can while the batch I'm starting this morning is doing it's thing. But, I know for a fact that the maker doesn't have a temp control. So, not trying to confuse the issue - just trying to figure out how important the temp during fermentation really is. Guest guest
No, it was some other brand that someone recently found got up to 125 degrees internally... not the Yogourmet. You're right, the Yogourmet doesn't have an external, adjustable temp control... but it does have a thermostat inside (as I would imagine all yogurt makers do)... that keeps the temp within the proper range.
