Hi everyone

We are 4 months into SCD with myself (ADD and pain syndrome), my 3 yr

old daughter with a lot of stomach issues, and a few odd behavioural

issues, and my son 5, ASD. We started the diet after 3 months of

horrible diarrhea from my son and it was such a relief for this to

disappear, but now it seems to be returning, and I just don't know

why. Starting this was SOOO hard and stressful, and I just don't know

if I have the strength to start again, but I am also very determined

not to give in. He is eating pretty much all foods allowed on the

diet except legumes, and whole nuts. He is having goat milk yogurt,

as per protocol from this site. We started very slowly with the

initial diet for 5 days, and inroducing new foods slowly at first, but

he was doing so well we speed up a bit in month 2-3. Then at 3 months

diarrhea returned, and everything went very pale. I heard that this

can happen at 3 months, but it hasn't gone away. I tried taking out

raw fruit and veges, but this made it worse, so I put them back in.

WE also started a new supplement, methionine, at this time. I have

stopped this, but I do not know if this is related. His appitite is

really variable now as well, as it was before the diet. He never asks

for food anymore, but is drinking a lot of juice.

It has been so frustrating, as although his digestion seemed better

immediately I never saw any behavioural changes until very recently

when I changed his calcium/magnesium supplement. (the shop had

insisted the old one did not have anything illegal in it, but I was

suspicious and it turned out it did.)

Any advice would be extremely appreciated. I am really unsure what to

do at this point.
