Guest guest
Jim, here, I do not have the stress thing in writting BUT I do have some stuff that says RP can and could be the result of TOXINS and this can also be found in many many studies. I was using tons of chemicals the summer before I became with ill with RP (ganden Chem's, I did not wear gloves or protect my skin like I should have. My very 1st sign was a BAD lupus Rash followed by all the RP things. I the back of my mind I truly believe it is all caused by those darn TOXINS. Jim, after I reached a remission we moved to Golden CO for a few reasons, one was to improve my joints which the dry weather did help that and I am now living a somewht normal life other then a seizure in DEC for no real known reason. When we moved here I went to Glenwood Springs CO (Health Capital of CO) and I under went 3 days of de-tox as you may call it what they did was wrap my body in some kind of mud to remove toxins from all the med's. And I dont know how much I would buy in to this because I reached my remission before the de- tox but, I do feel all those yucky med's are gone from my body! Jim, where do you live? I do know in Chicago there has been some issues with the VA and Polychondritis, I know this because I did my Internship at Great Lakes Navy in North Chicago. Hope you are at least feeling well and I can only imagine the stress you must be facing although it came to a point with me where I was tired of fighting with trying to figure out how and why I got RP now I just pray it wont come back. Write back soon. Love, We(the poly group)know that stress does trigger flairs, and stress does cause sugar counts to go up, but does anyone have this in writting? > Hi Group, > > My name is Jim Haight. I'm one of the old members lurking in the background. So.....Hello to all my old friends and welcome to all you newbees. > I have been working on a claim with the VA for the past two years, trying to connect Polychondritis to Agent Orange. The Department Of Veterns > has accepted Diabetes as a result of Agent Orange.(52% of Vietnam Veterans have diabetes) There is a statement in the Veterans Entitlements Act 1986 that states Polychondritis can be related to military service. But the VA > red tape is all too deep. They have told me that if I can connect stress to Polychondritis, they may be able to connect Diabetes as a stressfull event that triggers a Poly flair. > We(the poly group)know that stress does trigger flairs, and stress does cause sugar counts to go up, but does anyone have this in writting? Does anyone have Poly flairs with Diabetes flairs? > Any info relating Stress...Poly....Diabetes would be greatly appreciated. > > If any of you Vietnam Vets have Diabetes, file a claim with the VA, you will receive compensation. The Vietnam Veterans 0f America have info and can help you get through some of the BS. > > Now you all know why I don't write much. > > You all...I'm starting to sound like Lu. > Take Care, > Jim
