And we regularly get notices from the city not to give our water to

infants and old people or anyone who has a compromised immune

system. Too much arsnic and something else (forgot). In addition,

we have so much sulfur in the water that it stinks like rotten eggs-

who wants to drink that? We don't even like showering in it!

> I received a disclaimer from our water district today. It states

that " nitrate concentrations ranging between 0.46 and 2.58 parts per

million--well below the state and federal water quality limit of 10

parts per million " are found in our water. It also states that " we

did not complete all monitoring or testing for nitrates, and

therefore cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water " . I

would rather not have any thank you.

Dear Lucille,

I totally agree with you. Brooklyn water has always been the best. I lived

there 40 years before moving to New Jersey (Jersey City, where I had the

worst water in my life, and now Hazlet, where I drink tap also, but it

certainly doesn't compare to Brooklyn).

When I first moved here 10 years ago, I used to go visit my friends in

Brooklyn, trotting into their houses with at least 1/2 dozen 2 liter bottles

(empty, of course) so I could bring water home with me. Where did you live

in Brooklyn? I have what I affectionately call my 'Brooklyn attitude.' No

matter where I live, I'll never lose that attitude.

Suzy,

The Propel vitamin water helps me-plus you get good vitamins. It's VERY

important to stay hydrated as I myself have had nasty attacks from dehydration.I

constantly have a bottle of Propel or regular bottled water with me all the

time.Hope you're having a good day.

I just read the article on ionized water but don't think can afford one. Do

any of you know if boiled water would be good?
