Hi Laurie and Kaye,

Thanks again for your input. I'd certainly be grateful for the name

of the London rheumatologist, Laurie, although I couldn't see a doc

very regularly there as it's quite a way from Merseyside where I

live. It would be interesting to read more about the research

though. Kaye's husband's experience seems to bear out what you say

about the pain. I don't think mine is as bad as you describe

although it is distressing. I'll have to see what the docs to whom

I'm referred here have to say. The first stage might be physio but

I'm going to ask about other avenues as well.
