Guest guest
Started diet today with 3 year old son with autistic traits and have a few questions. we have no diareha prior to starting so I am planning on doing the intro diet a couple of days then moving on. He will not eat anything on this intro diet, I know, but I am sure he will eat other recipes (muffins, chicken nuggets, fruit etc..) that are allowed after the 2 day cleansing. What if he doesn't eat anything for 2 days, can I then proceed to the other foods eventhough he hasn't eaten anything on the intro diet? I figure the yeast won't be getting anything from the self-imposed " starvation " , so it should be ok to proceed. And how do i know which foods are more " advanced " (i've seen that in alot of emails). Also if he has no diarreha prior to this will diarreha and cramping still result as a by product of the die off? Plus a cold/allergies have just started up with snotty nose and mild coughing, what specifically should I check his medication for besides the obvious - sugar. I am currenlty reading the BTVC book and may not have come to these answers yet. Thanks for any help offered!!!!! Becky
Guest guest
Hi Becky, Happy SCD Day 1! > Started diet today with 3 year old son with autistic traits and have > a few questions. we have no diareha prior to starting so I am > planning on doing the intro diet a couple of days then moving on. 2 days on the intro should be plenty for him. > He will not eat anything on this intro diet, I know, but I am sure > he will eat other recipes (muffins, chicken nuggets, fruit etc..) > that are allowed after the 2 day cleansing. And raw fr. and veg. are easier to digest than dried fruit and veggies. The Beyond the intro chart may be helpful also: http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html#beyond > Also if he has no diarreha prior to this will diarreha and cramping still result as a by product of the die off? He may have some die off. You mentioned yeast. Is that a problem with him? > Plus a cold/allergies have just started up with snotty nose and mild > coughing, what specifically should I check his medication for > besides the obvious - sugar. You can check through the supplement page for legal fillers etc. If still unsure just list the ingredients on the list and I'll check through the ingredients. The supplement link: http://www.pecanbread.com/supplements.html Let us know how he does and if you have extra questions.
