Guest guest
Ok you guys, I need some advise/input/whatever..I have designed a new gown that is IV friendly. My son was in the hospital back in Oct. and I found the gown he had useless. Because of the IV, he always woke up with a wet gown and I had to wait for the nurse to come and help me unhook the IV to get the gown off. Anyway, so I have designed and made an IV friendly gown. I have called various hospitals in my area and inquired about who I should talk to in order to get my idea off the ground. Patenting it, I've been told is not really worth it. Any " fashion " item can be changed by just one hem or seam and then someone else can patent it. The linen companies have been the supplier for the hospitals for years. If the demand for these gown is there, they will make them for them. So now I wonder if I should just make them myself and sell them privately to any parent that would like one. So, That's where you guys come in. Have any of you experienced this problem with the gown? If you would like me to make you one for your child, I can take orders via email. I need to know your child's age and size. I can also make preemie gowns. The gowns will start at $12.95 plus tax. Shipping will be on top of that. A part of proceeds will be donated to the CCFF. (Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation) I am open for business so to speak, so let me know if any of you are interested k?
