Guest guest
Hello Andre, I do hope you are only to going to have to wait a short time until you get relief again. I do know how you feel. It is so frustrating to have to accept that there is no simple answer to our disease. One longs to know why it isn't a simple op to remove the darned thing and EASILY replace artificially everything it produces. They can do so much medically to-day that it's hard to believe they can't readily deal with the pancreas yet. So please do vent. I wept on Monday evening throughout that awful attack......pain everywhere.....and continued to do so throughout Tuesday and Wednesday while I had that hideous band-of-pain all round my upper- abdomen and deep inside. My pain is a lot better just now but one knows it can start up again at any moment. It's like having a wild beast inside one which needs to make its presence felt on a regular basis! Andre...perhaps the lawn must come second to your well-being. (Sorry....I realise that might sound rude or preachy. I don't mean to be rude, honestly.) I guess that you resent the fact that you can't do this normal job. I feel just the same about a number of things....eg. whenever I go out for a meal with friends, I wish I was " normal " and could eat and drink what I liked. It's so long since I was able to do so that I've almost forgotten what it was like. Good red wine, hunks of buttered baguette, a wedge of Brie or Stilton, strawberries and cream, cheesecake, a liqueur to finish a meal! Hot chocolate and croissants at breakfast!! Remember these?! I suppose a consolation is that they are not very good for anyone really....but just a little now and then would be lovely! I'm not being trivial Andre. I know that work, including gardening, is much more serious than a wide range of (unhealthy!) foods and you must feel it is your " right " to be able to do your lawn. Sadly, life doesn't seem to work like that, does it? I wish it did. The body and its health variations can be a tyrant. I do hope you manage to find a solution to the lawn prob. I can understand that you want it to look nice and a gardener is expensive. Perhaps some kind person will offer to do it for you, either for free or for a modest sum. I hope and pray so. Please vent Andre. You have to do so in a forum where people undertand both the pain itself and the frustrations it causes. Roll on your next improvement stage. May it arrive soon and last a very long time! With very good wishes, Fliss (UK)
