Guest guest
Just thought I'd add a thought in here on the " Itchies " . A few years ago, I was going through a time of having Anaphylactic Reactions. These were severe allergic reactions to (in my case) synthetics and preservatives. I thought this might be relative, only in that I have seen Anaphylactic Shock as a possible step in an Acute Pancreatitis Attack. The FIRST step of anaphylaxis is itchiness. Just thought maybe the " Itchies " could be a precursor for a panc attack??? In my case, I would wash a couple of benedryl down with liquid benedryl. The liquid would take immediate affect, then the pills would kick in and make the histamines calm down. Sometimes I had to use my Epi-pen to finally overcome a bad episode, but most often, the benedryl worked. Additionally, when I was pregnant,...I had trouble sleeping. I usually slept about 3 hours, then was up walking the floor for 4-5 hours. The dr. told me the benedryl would be a harmless (to the baby) way to get a little more sleep. It did work well for me. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents here, Donna Womack Fort Worth, TX
