Guest guest
I would not go straight to CT if you are unsure as to whether you need a band or not but if it is very straightforward and you know that no sutures have closed prematurely (i.e. it is 100% position related) and that you are 100% getting a band, it would be OK. My specialist recommended NOT getting a band since my older brachy daughter only has the widening aspect but not the flattening but he insisted that if we went to CI, they would convince us that we did need one. There isn't much seperation of church and state there - they make no money if we pass on one. I'm still going to have an eval. there just to see what they say but am leaning against getting a band, too.
