Guest guest
Hi everyone, Sorry I have not posted an update in a while . . I have been BUSY! School has been in about 5 weeks now, and things are slowing down. whew! Just wanted to update you since I think I missed my 2 month update! I am now 2 1/2 months post op and I have lost 46 lbs, (4 inches on my waist!) I had my health screening at work today (the little RV hospital is a free service to the teachers!) Anyway, 2 good things, 1 still bad: SUPER low cholestorol, low sugars, and the bad: When doing my heel scan for the bone density test for an osteoporosis screening, this is what he told me, " sorry mam, your foot densisty seems to be too thick to get an accurate reading. This test will not work for you. " I told himn, It isnt thick density . .call it like you see it - FAT FOOT!!! LOL So, I told him I was losing weight, he looked at me like yea, heard it from all you fat ladies before yea yea yea . . I sure hope its the same guy next year!!!! HAHA So, that was my bad news! My husband was rubbing my back tonight and he said: " Wow, I can feel all of your bones! " I wasn't sure if that was good or bad. Good, FINALLY, YOUC AN FEEL BONES UNDER THE FAT . . . OR . . . Bad . .You mean you didnt before!?!?!?! HAHA I am still not able to handle chicken and beef, other than ground beef, and I CAN handle pork. I dont get it, but its what my body tells me!! Bread is way too mushy, but everything else is great. I love salad and melons!!! YUM!!!! Can't wait for the Cruise!!!!! Is it too soon to start counting down????? LOL I feel like I will be " out of the loop " by then since its been so long since I have talked to a lot of you! If any pre-op would like to contact me, feel free to e-mail me at TeacherGator on aol.com Hope everyone else is doing well, in FL (little !)
