Guest guest
Hi, I went to my GI and he did a Colonoscopy to rule out Crohn's disease (I don't have it..) and he's going to refer me to a Pancreas specialist in Milwaukee, which could take a while to get in to be seen.. First, I'd like to ask for your prayer support. Some of the things that I am going to share here are things I can't just tell everybody, but they are big factors with the pancreatitis right now. My pain always increases towards the evening, always more with laying down or sitting than moving around, always more if I don't have enough to drink, and usually more with proteins or fats, but I'm not 100% sure about the dietary things. I'm just now starting to increase my diet, I've been on basically no proteins/fats for a while I'm needing more information on the factors that affect the pain, and how fluids play into this, I think this is more of a factor than fats/protein are. Something that you may need to know about me is that I am bipolar (manic-depressive, but I've never had depressive episodes). Prior to having the Pancreatitis I was stabalized on Depakote. Since Depakote is listed as a possible cause of the Pancreatitis I cannot take that medication. Since the Pancreatitis started I've been on 4 different medications for the bipolar. So, I've had trouble with mania since I went off the Depakote for the first time in 11 years. The pain is a major trigger to any manic episode, and I think that the restricted diet is also a trigger to manic episodes, and that if I were to eat better, it may be less. The doctors are having problems treating my Bipolar because so far I haven't been able to tolerate any medication to date. There is a possibility that the new one may work, but I'm still having trouble on it. It's too soon to tell. So, I'm needing prayer for healing for both my bipolar illness and the pancreatitis. Since I am a witness of the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to heal as I've witnessed His healing of my wife - not even one doctor could deny that a miracle occurred (they had asked me to sign a DNR which I refused), and my mother (also wanted me to sign a DNR) and she was also miraculously healed, I'm needing the same kind of miracle for me. I'm needing a lot more knowledge about pancreatitis, and I don't think my doctors know what's going on which is scary for me. I also live in a podunk town in Wisconsin, and maybe when I can get to a bigger city they may know more about what's happening. I'm open to any ideas you may have. Please email me directly on_the_move4ever@... Thanks!!! Rick
