Guest guest
You are the BEST! Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions. But, thank you most of all for your honesty. I can feel your frustrations as you talk about how difficult the mornings are, etc., trying to fit things in and trying to maintain a " normal " life. I am sure my sister is feeling exactly the same way. Even if she doesn't realize it, yet, I am glad to know that other people feel the same way. Those that said she probably isn't ready, I hope that's true. I hope she will, in time, be ready to accept some emotional support from others in the same position. The walk was a great thought but the website said the walks for '04 won't be posted til March. I hope I remember. As for Thanksgiving, it is at HER house, as it is every year, which is why I am so worried. I even suggested cancelling but she WANTS to do it. We've been having it there for years because it's too much for my mom. My brother drives up with his family and stays with my mom and we drive down. Dinner is at my sister's.Thanksgiving day will probably be fine, but she has to do all the shopping and prep work. My mom has osteoporosis and can't do much, tho I know she'll do what she can. I live too far to do the shopping. I will certainly do my share once we get there but I just worry she will be on overload. However, it's her choice and it will hopefully be ok. I will take all of your suggestions and try not to talk about 's condition at all. I will keep it on hold for now. The good part about the holiday is that my brother will be in from Virginia with his 4 girls and that will be wonderful for (and her sister, of course). Hopefully, my sister-in-law will pitch in but... Again, thank you all so very much. Love and good wishes, Jill
