Dawn,

When I got my back pain with RP it was about half way up and my neck was in pain also. When I ralapsed 4 times it was just in the back, it hurt so I couldn't sit still for more then 5 mins. and the pain was bad and the dr. wouldn't give me any pain pills either. My breathing was not affected and my ears were not flared up. The only thing was my sed rate was elavated and I was put on preds and they went away

..Between the ear, back and neck pain they could not give anything that helped relieve it. I hope this helps and try and keep your chin up and one day it will get better!!Take care of yourself and find a new rheumy. I had one tell me it never goes in the back. I told him he was crazy and he also said that he wasn't even sure I had RP cuz no biopsy was ever done. If you have the top 4 sysptoms no need to do a biopsy.

Love ya Sally

Sally, I too had a rheumy tell me that he wasn't sure it was RP because my

biopsy came back inconclusive. Dawn I agree, you need a new dr, but I know

how hard it can be. I also live in a small town with a lot of other small

towns around us. The rheumys in the larger towns are booked up here for 9

months. I have always had to drive 2-3 hours to get to one. Just keep

checking. If you find a good one, then the trip won't seem so bad and if

they can get it under control, then you won't need to see them as often. My

back hurts, but I never connected it to RP. Thanks for bringing the subject

up and thank you Sally for your great input.

hugs
