Guest guest
Chrissy, I want to cry as well, with and for you. I know I would be terribly scared too. There's no point in pretending it isn't a scary thought but at least there's only a week left to go. Once the thing is over you'll be able to look forward to gradual improvement every day. I think the old dynamic Chrissy you've described (and the folk you met in Cinci confirmed this basic " you " !) will ensure you get over this one Chrissy. I just can't find the right words to encourage you but I hope that knowing that we are all supporting you, thinking about you and praying for you, must be some help. I am going to tell the students about my American friend when I take assembly on the day of your op (please confirm the exact date of the operation itself, if you know it) so that our prayers that day will be for you. I hope you will feel that strength. I am thinking about you in the meantime and willing you to feel less frightened and depressed. I'll keep in touch each day. I don't think there is anything at all abnormal or wrong in feeling as you do; after all, it's a major op and you had the disappointment of the last procedure, but I'd just like you to feel better, that's all. I know I would be exactly the same. Try to focus on being pain-free, which will hopefully be the outcome! I know it will take time to get to that point, but it will come. You've had bookoo ( " beaucoup " as you asked me!! but I don't think it matters!) surgeries before and you'll get over this one as well. With love and warmest wishes, Fliss
