Guest guest
Dear Steve Have you tried Dr. Galenger at Princess Margaret Hospital he is also at Mount Sinia. Supposedly he is the expert here in Toronto for pancreatic problems. I saw him last week and he will be doing an MRCP as soon as it can be arranged. Im not upset its just that we live in the best country in the world as far as I am concerned and I hate to hear negative comments. from Toronto
Guest guest
At present I am seeing Dr Robin Davies, presently Chief of Surgery, specialist in gastro sciences at Oshawa General Hosp. . I do not wish get into a discussion on nationalism however from my experience I would dictate a different coarse of action for my best welfare, where response time for procedures is not the standard two months, two months etc... I would suggest as much as I hate to, a system where if you can afford it, have it done immediately. I feel like such a hipocrite since previous to my getting sick and being off work now for 29 months (and still going- eeg May 12, gastro scope May 11) I agreed with one tier health care. Now I question it. Re: Jen Dear Steve Have you tried Dr. Galenger at Princess Margaret Hospital he is also at Mount Sinia. Supposedly he is the expert here in Toronto for pancreatic problems. Guest guest
Agreed on the health care issue. In my most recent round of tests I under went a ultra-sound two weeks ago, I have a scope to be done on May 12, hopefully this give a brighter picture as to why I am not getting any better. I am also seeing a neurologist, a Dr Crisp to try and explain my total change in thought/decsion/memry issures, I had a MRI done on my head four weeks ago and I am having a EEG done May 11 (Early May is going to be busy) . I will include my email so we can comunicate outside of the group, this will also keep the costs down on long distance. <outbind://30/sbeaumont0 (AT) rogers (DOT) com> <http://www.mymailsignature.com/> Re: Jen Dear Steve We will agree to disagree on the subject of Canadian health care ..What if anything is Dr. Davies doing for you? Any surgeries planned? You should phone me and we could discuss our care. If you wish to do this let me know and I will email you privately with my number. from Canada
Guest guest
I have to agree with what said, Dr. Lehman is a wonderful doc. He is also kind and shows compassion and completely lets you finish talking before he says anything. He never once cut me off in mid sentence. Most doctors do, because they think they know more than you do about your body. Anyway, a good recommendation if you can make the travel. Good Luck Kris in TN
Guest guest
Chrissy, You crack me up. No we haven't got our tree yet. My husband has been busy with exams with school, but I think we are going to go and cut one down next weekend if i'm up to it. I still have no idea when my gall bladder surgery is. They haven't even given me a date and it's been 2 months since I was told I needed it. It's so frustrating. I've called them and they've rudely told me twice they'll notify me when they know. You are right about the time going by faster when you are happier. Christmas usually does always cheer me up. Unfortuantely though, along with my health problems my grandpa is dying of cancer. So it's gonna make these holidays tough. We've got a fairly close family, so everyone is quite devastated. As for the work front I did get hired with an agency last week. It's casual and it's usually relief in personal care homes. We'll have to see where it goes. Not the ideal area I want to work, but got to start back somewhere. Do you have any plans to return to work eventually? Any idea what area you're interested in? Take care of yourself and rest up well. Luv, Jen.
