Guest guest
Hi Cathy, Have you had a cigarette today? I was so lucky when I quit. Well, lucky is a relative statement here. I contracted asthma when I was 45 years old. It got to where I could not inhale at all. It just would'nt go down past my throat. Of course my doctor was threatening me daily about smoking. So after lighting up two or three one night at a party and then just putting them out after a puff or two that I could not inhale, I decided to quit. I have not had another one and that was in 1986. Of course, I quit drinking coffee for about 6 months because I knew if I had a cup of coffee I would be out in the ditch hunting ducs. Also the few cocktails we had, i had to quit. Rough time, but I would never even be tempted now. Even after a big meal. I have had TMJ for about 10 years. I have had to quit singing in my different choral groups and in the choir. It just causes me to ache, plus I fudge on the high notes because my jaws won't open wide. and of course that makes me an unpopular soprano. I have had a lot physical therapy when I worked in Charlotte which helped then. My mouth piece doesn't fit now for some reason. Must get a new one soon. Do MGB'rs loose weight inside their mouth? Good luck seeing that doc about yours. Love ya and see ya in gastonia.
