Guest guest
Does anyone know how long one should be on Yeast Aid capsules? We're sure our 3 year old son has yeast issues. Every rash he's ever had (including every diaper rash) has been caused by yeast. The child has spent a lot of his life coated in lotrimin! Anyways, after looking over a list of symptoms, we've come to realize that it probably all started internally from the time he was only a few months old. The capsules should come today and we'll be starting him on them tonight or tomorrow (1 in the morning, one at night, mixed in something strong flavored). I was just wondering how long people have had to be on it on average, as I'm not sure what to expect. He has an ASD so some of what we might think are yeast symptoms could also just be part of his ASD. I don't want to keep him on them forever thinking that something is yeast related, when it isn't. But at the same time, with as vigorous as yeast can be, I don't want to take him off too early either. I'd really appreciate any help you can give me! Thanks! Guest guest
I'm not familiar with that product.... but I do know that it's going to be really important to supplement acidophilus and/or use the SCD yogurt in order to get the good flora going down in the gut..... or opportunistic yeast may tend to take over. Guest guest
Thank you Patti. He eats about half a cup of the 24 hour yogurt per day. I'm considering boosting that though, since he doesn't seem to have a problem with it.
