Guest guest
Dear List: My 8 year old daughter developed this itchy spot on both of her big toes (right at the end of the nail but on the skin closest to the second toe). Its in the same exact location on both toes. I have gone to see a dermatologist, primary and now a podiatrist. The itchy spot seems to be unusal and they have not been able to get rid of it with topical antifungals. I am thinking about asking for diflucan. I have been putting loprox on it twice daily for over 3 months, it seems to keep it from growing into a bump and then blistering but it never goes away and always itches. I tried to do the houston digestive enzymes last March. I gave them to my daughter gradually increasing the dosages of no fenol, pepitizide and zyme prime for almost a month and a half. They made her super hyper so I discontinued but it was during this time that these itchy toes developed. Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I start giving her the enzymes again to get rid of it? I think she has yeast issues, could the enzymes have some how cause a die off, which somehow caused this toe infection? Is this farfetched or are am I on the right track? Thank you for your input. I am totally getting frustrated. The podiatrist just prescribed another cream and it doesn't seem to be helping but its only been 2 1/2 days.
