I'm sorry you had a rough time!!!!!! Can you give me a little more

detail. I am in the process of trying to stop smoking now and it's

about to drive me up the wall, so maybe your story will give me

strength while I attempt this. 30 yrs. of smoking is not an easy

habit to just give up!!

Hi and Cathy,

I am also glad to hear that you are OK, . It sounds like you

had a pretty rough time for a while. I'll bet it was pretty scary.

I also want to thank you for being honest enough to post what

happened because you did not quit smoking. I quit almost a year

ago. It will be a year October 7. I have really been struggling

with it in the past few days. I have had days that I wanted a

cigarette so bad I did not think I would make it through. I know a

lot of it is all the stress that is going on right now. I have a lot

going on in my family right now, plus I have been fighting Cigna for

this surgery since June. In the last month they have really managed

to tick me off. Silly me, I thought they had ticked me off about as

much as they could, NOT!!!! I have the Division Director and

Benefits Director where I work involved now. Hopefully they will be

able to help me. Anyway, I needed to hear the problems that can

arise if you are smoking. Not to mention my mom would kill me if I

started again after a year. That would make the 3rd time I started

again after a year of not smoking. I quit for a year two different

times when I got pregnant for my two boys. Believe me, my parents

were not impressed when I started back up. I don't know if you have

tried it Cathy, I just wanted to share with you that I used the

patches when I quit this time and they really helped me a lot. I

know that I am fighting the physcological part of the addiction now.

The physical part has been gone for 11 months. Thanks for sharing,

. And to you Cathy keep on trying, I know how hard it is. I

figure once I get this surgery, I oughta be darn near perfect. What

else is left? What do ya think? A person can dream can't they?

Bonded by experience, strength, and hope,

Rhonda
