Guest guest
I am re-posting this, all in one message, for Christa... -Patti ----------------------------------------------------- I have some questions about the diet. If I have an illegal food (ok, my ds made a crumb cake and I didn't make something comparable that I could have and I cracked) after I've done the intro diet, do I need to go back and do the intro again? It was a few days ago that I slipped up. I seem to be tolerating stage 2 and 3 foods just fine (I'm trying to satisfy my needs along with my husband who has no desire to be on my diet and children who don't need to be and my symptoms had already been under control for quite awhile due to meds which I no longer have access to because of insurance issues). I got ahold of some stage 4 foods last night (never read the stages before but I did tonight) which were tomato and navy beans, and after I ate for several hours I felt ill... not like flair up ill, but like I'm coming down with the flu ill complete with the cold sweats and goosebumps (stools are fine though)?? I was fine by morning. I made some chicken tonight fried in almond flour and had a bit of the same reaction but not nearly as bad as last night and gassy . I'm sure I need to slow down a bit... but like I said it's getting hard to satisfy everyone's food needs around here. I'm waiting on my probiotic yogurt starter to get here... progihealth is apparently having a lot of orders for their starter. That's one of the things I've been missing for the last week or so (a probiotic). What really odd is that my 2 1/2 mo old's reoccurring yeast problems cleared up on their own last week... so I don't think we're having candida troubles anymore. I don't think my tummy troubles are related to that. Christa colitis/proctitis under control with meds since last year off meds for 2 mos wheat/sugar free for 2 1/2 mos scd for 3 weeks
