I am sure you know this, but just don't get off this dose suddenly, you have to taper it off. It's a good idea they are putting you on one of the disease modifying antirheumatic drugs, they are called DMARD, I think. Methro is one of them and it affects people differently. I was on them, first thru pills then thru injections. The injections by-pass your liver, so it's easier to tolerate for those who get sick on it. Neither worked for me. But things are different for everyone. It works wonders for some people. One of the survivor series' winner has RA and she takes it and she won the contest! A good rheumy will try different things until he/she finds something that works for you and doesn't incapacitate you. There's lots of meds in the market now, some new and some old.
