Worried friends and family

The other day I got into a very HEAVY conversation with a close male

friend (I've known for years). He spoke with someone who had once

considered having the MGBS and now is totally against it and gave him

lots of scary info., some true and some untrue. Now he is absolutely

worried to death about me. I told him one way or another I WILL have

this surgery and I'd be more then willing to help him understand and

answer any questions I can. By the time I was finished talking with

him I was about in tears, I just couldn't convince him that

exercising and dieting MORE would JUST do it for me. He doesn't have

a weight problem and thinks this is the EASY way out. GEEZ!!!! I'm

so tired of people who haven't walked with 100+ x'tra pounds giving

advise on how to lose weight, I've tried soooooo many things and now

I found what I feel is a godsend answer, why can't people just be

happy about that?? Now my husband and this friend are very good

buddies and I'm so afraid he would add even more doubts in my

husbands mind about this surgery (my hubby doesn't have a weight

prob. either). Any advise would be appreciated. I do have some very

supportive friends and family members, who I have confided in.

Congratulations ldavis4014 on such a great weight loss!!! way to

go!!
