Guest guest
Hi All: Just wanted to quickly post a followup to the " It's Me Again " post of earlier. Went to the " new " gastro doc today and was pretty impressed with him, he wants to try me on creon for awhile to rest the pancreas..so he must be suspecting pancreatitis again. Took some blood work - the usual suspect lipase/amylase and then some sort of anti-nuclear antibodies??? Don't know what that's for except the lab tech said it's to check for inflammation deep within bodily tissues?? Having a colonoscopy next week because he noted that the last GI doc didn't do that at all and he was puzzled by that a bit. So, that's the update...I'm in awful pain, but at least his office staff were kind enough to actually get me in TODAY and actually called me before the app't. to ask if I was in alot of pain and when I responded yes, they said just come in and we'll work to get you in right away.......another breath of fresh air. So, I'm grateful for that and am hoping that we're at least heading in the right direction. Thanks to all that responded to my earlier post...this has been a long haul for me (only a little over 3 months) -- God bless all of you that have had much, much longer hauls. I can't take this pain anymore, it's awful and is absolutely destroying any quality of life I have, my relationship with my husband is strained (because he worries too much) and my job is now to the point that I have to take leave without pay under the family medical leave act (which is really only allowed for a period of 12 weeks, and then what?) Anyway thanks....and prayers
