I'm sure Dr. R will respond for himself, but I wanted to note that

during the " heat of the fire " with and some of the others on

this list, Dr. R did not edit at all. There were some strong requests

from others on the list that he do so, as it was turning into a

spitting contest. Although we wanted to hear her feelings and

opinions, it was becoming very counter-productive for those of us who

also wanted to gather information from other sources in the group. I

believe that he did not start monitoring until after there started to

be posts asking that someone do it, so maybe that factored in to his

decision.
