I'm back and safely on the other side

Just a quick update. Had surgery late Wednesday afternoon. Dr. R.'s

part was about 40 minutes. He found a little surprise in me - I had

a " rather large " hiatal hernia with about 1/4 of my stomach through

my diaphragm. He fixed that too. I am pretty sore - now I

understand about the abdominal crunches. Other than that, trying to

get some food (soup, etc.) in and keep drinking. Took a walk etc.

One strange thing - I can't seem to see out of the one contact lens I

wear - my left pupil is dilated and I had to go buy some reading

glasses. Has anyone else had that " problem " ?
