Guest guest
Hi everyone I went in for a CST 4th session today. My therapist asked not to wear the helmet for a day becaz she doesnt know the effect of helmet plus therapy combinations. She reasoned that it will make his flatness to pop out naturally.I thought wearing helmet after the therapy will be beneficial.Has anyone aware of this situation. Please share your experiances Thanks Naz
Guest guest
I'm not really a " believer " in CST (I haven't tried it), but leaving it off one day shouldn't matter too much. However I haven't heard this from people doing CST along with banding before. Since you are really concerned about the head filling in the flat areas, and the helmet doesn't put pressure in those areas, I'm not sure how it would interfere. I guess it depends how often you go to CST, and if she wants it off each time. I wouldn't mind leaving it off one day, but wouldn't want to leave it off once a week etc. -christine sydney, almost 3 yrs, starband grad > > Hi everyone > I went in for a CST 4th session today. My therapist asked not to > wear the helmet for a day becaz she doesnt know the effect of helmet > plus therapy combinations. She reasoned that it will make his flatness > to pop out naturally.I thought wearing helmet after the therapy will be > beneficial.Has anyone aware of this situation. Please share your > experiances > > Thanks > Naz >
Guest guest
Hi Naz, We did CST also in support of my daughter having a helmet. She had severe brachy and mild plagio. Our CST was not into helmeting, but supported my choice to do it. We would take the helmet off there and put it on at the office right when the session ended. I thought the CST as support of what was being done with the helmet and helping my daughter's head to shape more correctly. After 2 1/2 months she graduated from her helmet and no one would have ever known she had severe brachy before. She has a beautiful round head and the bossy of her forehead is gone. With CST I think you have to let them know what you feel comfortable with and let them know that the two together can work. Good luck, > > Hi everyone > I went in for a CST 4th session today.
