Guest guest
> > CAUTION from the Silly Yaks at the Bunce zoo! Do not eat these recipes that I have posted if you are new and healing. Even Kiki doesn't eat this stuff during a flare. She never ate it during intro either. > Dear Antoinette, Yes, CAUTION! Pecanbread has over 2700 members and you will notice the same people posting very frequently while they are newcomers. When they can manage on their own they remain as " lurkers, " contributing updates from time to time or posting an occasional question. Most of the new arrivals here have subscribed to the list because they cannot sort out all the information at first on their own. We have a commitment to be as clear as possible and careful about identifying what's legal, what's appropriate for beginners and what is advanced. Your family is at varying stages of progress and you say only Kiki is having most of the issues. So please, help us out when composing a post. Be specific about whether your advice is just general or it is especially geared to a newbie or a veteran. Since I use nuts, cow cheese and dried fruit myself, I sometimes am careless when posting a recipe and I neglect to tag it as advanced:-( Then the poor moms say, " My child can't eat that, in fact can barely eat. " Very few on the list are catering to five individuals. It is a marvel how you cope with them all and still make time to compose really detailed posts.( I wish I had your energy and did not even fifty years ago.) So please, Antoinette read over your message, pretending that you are brand new and regard it from the perspective of someone who is just starting SCD and you will continue to be a really big help I am sure. Also be aware that when a food has been restricted by Elaine, there are instances when we do not know the reason. In certain cases Elaine herself was unsure and just decided caution should rule.
