Guest guest
Dear list memebrs, Please trim your replies as much as possible. To do this: after hitting reply you can highlight and delete any info that is not pertinent to your post. This will save space in the archives and makes it easier for those with older systems or on digest. Guest guest
Sheila, I used to do this, snipping out parts that weren't pertinent. But about a month ago, suddenly I was unable to do this, on both yahoo lists that I am on. It became all-or-nothing; all of the email to which I am replying (like yours) or no email at all. I can't highlight just certain parts of a post. I assumed something changed for everyone, was I wrong? Are others still able to snip sections of posts to the list? I've had some trouble with this with my email service provider also. To get around it I just answer emails at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/messages Then I can snip what I like. Guest guest
Lorilyn..... When Yahoo started with their new format a little while back, I found it difficult at first. When replying, I was used to being able to easily trim away excess text... but it wasn't letting me. I found out that I had to click somewhere down within the original message.... then click again. At that first click, you see little boxes appear at the edges and corners of the e-mail text, then after the SECOND click, a grey border appears..... at which point, you can highlight, delete, clip, cut and paste to your heart's content. I'm still very frustrated with the new Yahoo format, but it is do-able. Now, that may not work for you..... but give it a try. Guest guest
Patti On the first click, I get the little boxes at the corners and a dotted line around everything else. At the second click, I get a little window letting me do a few things like delete, copy, paste, insert hyperlink... but if I choose one, like delete, it deletes the whole email and won't let me highlight just part of it. Fortunately, there is an undo button too! Thanks for trying, though. Lorilyn
