Guest guest
Please calm down, and realize that there are about 200 people telling you all kinds of good things about Dr. Rutledge and his procedure, and about 2 that seem to be disgrutled, angry, unhappy people. Not such bad odds, for surgery now are they? Trudy from Indiana pre-op also, Re: Digest Number 2223 here is an email I sent to Dr. R. I am sooo confused!! He says that the MGB causes bile reflux... ( which is what I have read on the web also) but isn't that BAD!!!????? I have been spending hours upon hours finding everything I can about the Billroth II and it can be very confussing!! I have read article after article showing that the Billroth II leads to cancer at the attachment site.... but Dr. R says no. I wish I could talk to someone Face to Face!! I would like to ask a few questions if I may.>>?? > I am into month 2 of researching the MGB and have a few questions. > > Why are post-ops supposed to take Citrucell? No it causes it. > > Does the MGB cure gastric reflux? It cures Gastroesophageal reflux. > > What makes your MGB different from the Billroth II that was stopped 20plus > years ago for weight loss surgery? Guest guest
I am in the same boat as you. Went to the doctor today. Bottom line - after so much wishful thinking and knowing that Dr. R's surgery was perfect for me, I have decided that there are much better surgeries out there -- surgeries that are done all over the world, not just in one city -- one man. My doctor wholeheartedly agreed. Believe me, I was very, very upset because I thought I found a surgical procedure that was going to make me healthy and happy. But...it's your decision, but please just keep what you are doing -- asking questions. Don't be surprised, if you are brushed off a bit and take that as a hint. Hope everything goes well with you and God bless
