Don't let your psyche get the best of you; we all have to dispel those

" diet " -mentalities that we have had for so many years!

When I started soft foods at 2 weeks out, I added bananas (chewed well),

mashed potatos, applesauce, oatmeal ... continued with soups and added

crackers that got all smooshy ...

You will not have to starve yourself to lose the weight ... in fact, I

have found if I eat more, I lose more. I'm not talking lots and lots more,

but adding more protein and NOT skipping my evening meal because I am not

hungry ... the old way of thinking for us doesn't work and we need to get a

big ol' eraser and get rid of all of those old tapes!

I lost 26 pounds my first month ... 34 the second month, nothing the third

month, down another 7 in month four ... and to date I am down 76 total (as

of 9/15/00).

I can now eat anything ... I still avoid sweets because I have not yet

dumped and don't want to thank you ... the only thing that truly has not

sit well has been apples for some reason. I love not being so controllled

by food ... so that it is on my mind all the time. I eat what I feel like

eating. Sometimes it's just veggies ... sometimes just fruit ... but I

know what I am eating is good for me!
