Guest guest
Hello everyone, being new to CF, or more precisely waiting to see if CF is what we are dealing with, - why shouldn't CF kids get together? Is it a problem with viruses? Carolyn
Guest guest
We were told that it is because of bacteria exchange. For instance, right now Piper has Staph and Pseudomonas, so if she is in close contact with another CF person that doesn't have Staph or PA, she could pass it on to them, or vice versa. Guest guest
Hi.I was told that there used to be camps for cf kids until they learned when the kids were together they were spreading stuff like B. cepacia.Another instance of living and learning, unfortunately at the expense of many beautiful vulnerable children.I am scared to even have my son in the same ROOM as another cf person for fear of such bacterias spreading.I DO think the kids need support and friendship from one another and the pen pal idea someone brought up was a good way to do that.
