Guest guest
HI everybody! My name is, Lesa. I'm from Tulsa, Ok and have been dealing with a new diagnosis of CP for the past two months. My mother has it and her mother had it. I feel lucky to have found a group like you. The information I have picked up here is very useful and thank you for it. My diagnosis came very quickly. I went to my D.O. on a Friday with pain on my left side that had been waking me up at night. He sent me for a CT scan that day. The CT showed an enlarged pancreas which he suspected was cancer. He referred me to a Gastroenterologist who did a ERCP on Tuesday and diagnosed CP from some previous scarring in the tail. I was relieved that it wasn't cancer and was very frustrated that my pain was getting worse and that I couldn't eat anything. I am finally able to tolerate the enzymes and have been able to eat for the past three days. Three days ago I tried homeopathic remedies for the pancreas and the spleen, my pain was cut in half immediately. I am down to percoset a day as long as I am careful with what I eat. The biggest problem that I have now is shortness of breath and wheezing after I eat. My D.O. gave me an inhaler for that which helps a little. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
