Guest guest
> > I am hosting a " Moms' Night Out " for our home school co-op in two weeks. I want to do a huge pot of chile since it will be easy for feeding a crowd, and is great for the cool weather. I also want to make an scd legal chile, so that I can feed any leftovers to my own family. Does anyone have a good scd legal chile recipe that they are willing to share either on or off list? I want to make sure that I use a really good recipe since these ladies have never eaten any scd food. I don't want them to think that the food is gross, so I am not willing to experiment for this event. That's why I'm asking everyone for their recipes. Also, any other recipes that you think would be great for this gathering...feeds a crowd, cool weather food, makes a good scd impression...are welcome. Thanks. > Meleah scd 05/06 > iel 3.5yrs. asd, Ethan 5yrs., Mark 18mths., both nt > I went to Google and entered: SCD chili recipe and lots came up. Carol F. Guest guest
If you find a good one that you really like, could you share it? That would make a nice winter meal here; dh loves chile. And it is good for company too. Guest guest
I've had good success soaking a variety of beans (like kidney, pink, black and white ones), and then adding them to a sautee of onions, peppers (green and red), tomatoes and zucchini. I use a hand mixer to blend up about half of the beans and leave the other half whole. Serve w. dripped SCD yogurt and shredded chedder and jack mix (mixed cheese always melts better than one kind alone. Use whatever you have!). Enjoy your party, Ellen 9 y/o dd dx'ed w. Crohn's. Guest guest
Hi Ellen, > I've had good success soaking a variety of beans (like kidney, pink, black and white ones) I don't think there are any legal pink beans. For which beans are legal and when to start them see " Beans " at the " Knowledge Base " at http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/ Properly prepared dried beans aren't for newbies especially if symptomatic.
