Guest guest
I am going in on Wednesday to have a celiac block. I know there are 2 ways to have it done. One is through the spine. They use a CT scan machine to guide the needle into the plexus nerve and the other way is Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). This is where they go in through your mouth and get right into the plexus area I was told. My doctor told me the correct way was the EUS way only. He did not recommend having it done the other way. There are permanent blocks and temporary ones. I will be getting the temporary one. I will let you know how it goes when I get back. I leave on Tuesday because it is a 6 hour drive for me and I have to be there at 6:00 am. Maybe someone else will explain it better than I can or you can do a search on celiac plexus block on Google. Hope this helps! Darren
