Guest guest
I, too wish I had had someone like you that had warned me about my daughter's head- I noticed it at 2.5 to 3 mos, but the pediatrician kept brushing my concerns aside; SHE kept telling me that it would round out as well. I would recommend that your friend go to get a consult anyway (CT is free for a consult), and see what the " experts " say. My daughter's never rounded out fully, and the pediatrician waiting until she was 12 mos before she took me seriously again. Please tell your friend not to wait that long- it only takes longer to fix!! Since she and I work closely on several cases, we took yesterday to get caught up. Her son is now 3 months old and she mentioned that he had tort and was getting PT through Infants and Toddlers (early intervention services). I mentioned to be careful because this could cause a flat head. That's when she told me he already has one, but everyone is telling her that it should round out. > > > > So, I went to work and told her more about our experience, gave her more info on repositioning, the doctor we saw, and the two main helmet places in the area (Star cranial and CT). I explained about the optimal time for a helmet. She said she was going to look everything over when she got home and talk to her husband about scheduling some appointments to be ready in case it hasn't rounded out in a couple of months. > > > > I have to tell everyone that it felt so good to be able to do this. It is what I would have wanted someone to do for us. > > > > > > Ticker id: IvP3Â Â Ticker id: yZZPÂ Â Â Â Ticker id: lFno >
