goji berries and gelatine

Can you tell me if goji berries are legal?I have doubts because of

polysaccraides but some

fruits have this as well.

Also about Gelatine I enquired from one company about their source (supercook)

they replied

" Thank you for your recent email.

I write to advise you that the gelatine powder's source is hide of beef and

the leaf gelatine is derived from pig. "

is there an alternative for making jelly?
