Guest guest
A friend of mine is a surgon in Michigan that dose many Billroth II gastric resections. I just talked to him tonight about the procedure, bile reflux, and incresed risk of gastric stump cancer. 1) Billroth II increases the risk of bile reflux 2) Their are med's to bind it 3) Increased cancer risk is minimal 4) We must weigh benefits of weight loss, reduced co-morbidity, and quality of life to the increased risk of the possibility of getting gastric stump cancer.
