On our way to getting a docband

Well we had our initial meeting with Cranial Tech. on Wednesday and they

officially diagnosed our son with mod-severe brachycephaly with a little

combination of plagio. I was actually shocked that it swung to the severe end

of things. So we told them there to please contact our ped to start the referal

process. I got home and really started questioning myself, but I know in the

end it is the right thing to do. Did anyone out there find that the pics did

not make it look as bad as it actually is? I didn't think the pics looked that

bad, but I know what his head looks like in person.

Anyways, got a call today from our peds office saying that they submitted the

referal, then got a call from Cranial tech with the best new ever! They had

told us it would be $3600 at CT, but the insurance coordinator with CT said that

Kaiser is contracted with CT in Virginia and with Kaiser's 50% coverage our out

of pocket would be $1050!!!! I thought was hearing her wrong and kept asking

her to repeat it! This was the best news when we were expecting it to be half

of 3600.

So now we wait for the referal.

How long does it take to get the band after the kids are scanned?
