Trying_Low_Oxalates who don't advocate the SCD, because their kids did not do

well on it.

I, for one, am trying to find the common ground between the two diets, since

healing is

the goal, not a particular soapbox. I am sure that Elaine would have felt the

same; healing

should be the priority for all of us.

Pecanbread is where we discuss SCD. We don't combine it. Other lists may

include people

following other dietary interventions and trying to lump in SCD and do so at

their own risk.

Our Pecanbread files state:

" Discussions and advertising of alternative diets, illegal foods, treatments

that are not recommended, or other subjects that are not part of the science and

practices of SCD are not allowed on the list. "

I really can't comment on what people on Trying Low Oxalates are doing beyond

saying it

is not the place to get support for SCD and this is not the place to get support

for the LOD.

I can't offer any advice to someone trying to meld the two diets. The research

I have seen

does not validate LOD sufficiently for me even though I tried it for a week to

keep an open

mind. (I had been misdiagnosed for kidney stones at the time).
