Guest guest
Darren I am very happy that you are seeing Dr. Sutherland. Its like your seeing the Dalai Lama of pancreatic surgeons...(jk). I do hope it works out for you. I will be having the tp/ict soon, I hope anyway I haven't been scheduled yet. Good luck! I am curious of one thing that Karyn had said;, also that the spinal nerves innervating into the pancreas are > still solid and unnerved by the disease. (...get it..un-nerved?!) > Karyn is there some kind of issue with with those nerves that I am unaware; well obviously....LOL. I would appreciate it if you would explain that a little bit. I do like the way you explain things. I printed out the malabsorptions posts to refer back too. There are a lot of issues with maintaining my nutritional status after a total that I will need to figure out as well. I understand that I will be a diabetic for some time after the procedure, but it should be tempory. Monitorring will be the key. I think I will get one of those monitors that keep a log of the results. I have issues with compliancy as well....LOL. Darren I hope that all goes well with your appt with Dr. Sutherland, thank him on behalf of all of us. He is an amazing person and I have never even met him. Thank you Karyn for all your input, I appreciate it. Warmly, Chrissy
