Exercise Money/RP Foundation

Hi All, I want to thank you all who have joined us in the exercise fund

raiser. For all the newbies, I will tell you a little about it.

Marilyn is in charge of this and keeps track of the time schedule and keeps

pushing us in the right direction. LOL Thanks again Marilyn.

For all that are interested, we are putting change in a can or jar or

whatever, everytime we exercise. Or for people like me, every day I don't

exercise. LOL At the end of 3 months, we will write a check and send it to

the RP Foundation as a donation. This all adds up. We had close to $100

last time. I want to thank all who participated.

For those of you who don't know about the Foundation I will tell you a little

about it.

It is totally separate from the support group. You can look at our web site

at

www.polychondritis. It is still under construction, but you will see changes

soon.

We ask for a $15 a year donation (but will take any amount). This will go to

bring about awareness of RP to the public and medical professionals. We will

also be funding research. We have our brochures almost done and they will be

available to put in drs. offices, hospitals, etc., soon.

We have RP Angels who sponsor members who are having a hardship and want to

be members. You can always sign up to be an angel. This is all

confidential. No one knows who the sponsor is or who is sponsored.

We always need volunteers too. Oh, by the way, the Foundation is a non

profit Foundation and donations are tax deductible. Everyone works for free.

We all do this out of love and the desire to someday find a CURE for RP.

We also have " in Honor of " donation. You may make a donation in honor of

anyone you wish. You may ask your family to make a donation in your name for

your birthday, anniversary or whatever. We also have letters that I will

post again, that we sent out to friends and family. We got a wonderful

response from that. You may write your own letters, this was just a sample

written by and it worked great. Thanks again .

Okay, I won't go into my medic alert bracelet speech at this time. LOLL I

will nag you all about that later. Just be sure you HAVE yours!
