I was first diagnosed with acute pancreatitis in Feb of this year.

My CT scan showed acute pancreatitis but my amalayse and lipase tests

were all normal. This showed up again just a few days ago and after

a 2nd CT scan, which showed mild pancreatitis, but again normal

hepatic blood levels. Now, I am new to this, but how can that be?

My doctor is concerned that I may start suffering from chronic

pancreatitis. The back pain is awful, wakes me up at night!! No

real reason for me to have this, doc says it's idiopathic, which

means he doesn't know the cause. Is there something that triggers

these attacks? I really don't relish the idea of living like this

for the rest of my life. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!
